The Madness has Begun

I vaguely remember the days when March Madness was a term I heard in passing. My Dad and brothers would watch some games and I would join them occassionally. I never knew who won the whole thing and I had never heard of anything called a bracket. Five years ago if I had heard the phrases "Sweet Sixteen" of "Elite Eight" I would have had no clue what they referred to. All I can say is things have changed. The weeks of March Madness at our house make up a holiday season that comes second only to Christmas time - and even that is debatable. Above you can see Dave with his brothers watching the basketball games. They are watching our T.V., but they also have their laptops set up to display the games - this enables them to watch multiple games at the same time. Everyone in Dave's family fills out an Internet bracket to guess who the winners will be. The person with the most acurate bracket gets his/her name engraved in a trophy located at the Snedaker parent's house. It's definately Madness! I love it!

All I have to say is I'M SORRY!!! Just kidding. That sounds like fun but with a husband who is a CPA, he will never be into March Madness. All I know about March Madness is that it interrupts when "SURVIVOR" comes on TV - haha!!!! have fun!

You missed coming to see your new nephew for this! Just kidding! I'll let Dave change a few diapers when he comes to visit to make up for it:) It's actually great that his family has some traditions they love.

Whoa . . . now THAT'S a superfan. The trophy with the name engraving is very funny--I love crazy traditions like that. Still, don't they feel slightly foolish using the phrase "sweet sixteen"?
