Future partners in crime . . . Parker and I got to play with his cousin Levi for a couple of days last month. Levi's family (Jordan's family) is moving to Utah in a few weeks! We're SO excited for them to come for lots of reasons. One reason is that Parker will have a family member his age to grow up with. Parker will be in the same grade as Levi and we're looking forward to all the trouble they'll get into together!
The other day I ran out of plastic wrap. So I pulled out the cardboard tube inside the box and started talking and singing to Parker through it. I gave it to him to play with while I finished up making dinner. The next thing I knew he was yelling at me through the tube, trying to get my attention! He has been loving this little toy . . . of course he does . . . it's not really meant to be a toy. All those real toys have never had the same appeal as other things that were made to serve another purpose besides toys!
More fun outside . . . this is a rare glimpse of Parker keeping his hat on. It usually immediately comes off - which I wouldn't mind so much but the kid is so gosh darn fair skinned! I usually put on multiple layers of sunscreen because once we get outside that luminescent skin appears to be begging to get burned!
Parker loves to get in the middle of the laundry. I cover him with clothes and he just sits back and relaxes.
This is my child asleep with his leg stuck in between the crib slats. He is always doing all sorts of nifty tricks in his sleep!
This is just a picture with me and my baby - pretend it's a good one of me!

I love that you have so much fun being at home with Parker! What a blessing that is for you to be able to stay at home with your baby! I love the pics...especially the one with Parker in the laundry! He's getting so big :(
Yeah CAndace - it is so fun to see an update from you - parker is getting so big and i love to see what he is doing.
i laughed so hard at your comment about his luminscent skin. i still think i have the fairest skinned kids ever born - we used to call them Casper the ghost. Yes..lots of sunscreen and they both have those swim shirts - i think they are called rashguards. Poor grant doesn't know what it is like to swim without a shirt on. Luckily they both love to wear hats and will keep those on no problem.
Don't you just love when you can entertain your kids with a toy that isn't even a toy - AND costs nothing.
Love the laundry picture - it is priceless! And good for your for putting a picture of you on there with parker - i am trying to be better about that too.
we miss you guys and think of you often!
Candace...it is so fun to see pictures of you and your sweet boy! He is growing so fast and getting cuter all the time. My Gideon has really fair skin too and is starting to get freckles across his nose and cheeks. They're very cute.
I just LOVE the pictures of Parker in the laundry basket..so cute! And I like the one of you and him together-it's a unique angle, but I like it. How is your friend Emily doing?
You have got yourself one cute little boy. I'm sorry that time wasn't plentiful to allow us to visit you while we were in SLC, maybe next time!
He is adorable! They grow up so fast! I think it's so funny that we (parents) spend so much money on toys and their favorites end up being cardboard tubes and such!
Cute pictures. Looks like he is having fun. Lucky him that he got our lovely white skin huh!?
DARLING pics! And I'm not just saying that because Levi's in one... What beautiful eyes and smile Parker has. Quite the charmer. I'm sure looking forward to being around that cute little guy more often-- oh, and you and Dave too! Ha ha!
That was so cute! And I am so impressed...you always capture the cutest pictures of Parker! I always seem to be a few seconds late when taking a picture and they never turn out like I hope! Such a cute post...keep it up! :)
