Yesterday Dave and I celebrated our third anniversary! Dave took the day off work and took us hiking. Parker got to ride in his little back pack and he was happily kicking his legs and looking around the whole time. After we went hiking, we took Parker to the baby-sitter and Dave and I went to the temple and then out to dinner. It was such a special day and so fun to think about and remember our wedding day. While at the temple, we were with some older couples and it was so neat to see how after fifty-some years of marriage, they were still so happy and in love. We hope to make it that long, but no matter what the future holds we are grateful for the knowledge that our marriage is eternal. We're grateful to our friend Emily who has reminded us of that through her faith and example. It was a great day - and Parker and I loved having Dave off work for the day! Parker absolutely loves his snuggli pack. He loves to be with Dave and is thrilled every time we put him in this thing. We're going to make the most of hiking this summer because we're guessing next summer hiking won't be quite so easy. This guy will be way too mobile to be content being carried around in a back pack - not to mention too big!!
We found a tree that appeared to have three trunks! It made a nifty little chair so Dave snapped a picture of me taking a break in my discovered resting spot.

Congrats on your third anniversary! I looked it up on wikipedia, and the third anniversary is the LEATHER anniversary . . . so I hope you got Dave a nice sheath to carry his favorite pocketknife on his belt.
Also, that Parker is a heartbreaker.

Happy Anniversary you two! Three years...what a landmark! I'm so glad Parker is so cute...I'm sure our kids will look JUST like him! I bet everyone will mistake our kids as siblings! (My cousin and I were growing up :) I love you guys! Congrats on your anniversary!

I LOVE the picture of Parker where his hair is standing straight up-SO CUTE! You're two boys do look like each other. Congradulations on the Anniversary, sounds like a great way to celebrate it (I try to wear my wedding dress to the temple on our anniversary, it's fun.) We would like to go hiking in Zion's Park sometime this summer, if you would be interested in going with us let me know, we'd love to see you.
Also, I've been thinking we should do a Hermana's Reunion sometime this summer-are you interested?

Yeah! Happy Anniversary! I forget that you guys got married so close to when we did! I can't believe it's been three years (for both of us! :) Well, it sounds like you had a very fun and special day! You guys are so cute...and Parker is just a doll! I love his bright blue eyes!
Congrats on 3 years and a cute little baby to boot! It's so fun taking them on hikes when they're still little. My 30-pound 3-year-old still likes to be carried around in our hiking kid pack. :)
