Sweet Girl

So I thought I'd write a quick post about Kam...just because this situation is so typical of her and how she handles things.

On Monday, Dave took the day off and we took the kids to Seven Peaks.  Parker is fearless, it seems and wanted to try everything.  Kam is more nervous, but she did brave two slides.  Her favorite was the green slide.  Dave and I each took her on it once.  When I took her, we went so slow...apparently, you are supposed to lie down and I stayed sitting with her on my lap.  When Dave took her, they were slow at first, but my smart husband realized you are supposed to lie down and they ended up getting some speed.  Thus, Kambri went under the water when they exited the slide.

Here is how my conversation went with her as we left the park:

Me:  Kam, what was your favorite thing you did today?
Kam:  The green slide
Me:  Did you like going on it more with Daddy or Mommy?
Kam: (big sigh)  Actually Mom.....Dad threw me under the water when we got to the bottom.  It was
really scary.  I liked it better with you.  (what a rascally dad, "throwing" her under the water like that)

Then the next morning I was talking to her again about the green slide.

Me:  We had so much fun yesterday...what was your favorite part again?  (I wanted to hear her tell me
about getting thrown)
Kam:  The green slide!  When Daddy took me, he THREW me under the water.  I just LOVE being
under the water!

Anyway, it intrigues me how she switched the whole situation in her little mind...not sure if she just forgot how she felt about it or she just decides to be positive about things...but I love her little attitude and personality.  She definitely keeps us laughing!

(Not sure why the above spacing is weird...)
