Yesterday was Parker's first birthday and he loved every minute . . . actually like all one-year-olds he had no clue it was his birthday . . . but we loved every minute. It was so fun to have a little party with family and to think back on the past year about how much fun Parker has added to our family. He is such a mischievious, happy, headstrong, determined and cute little boy. I bought him some blocks that come in different shapes - you have to put them back in their container through the correctly shaped slot. He quickly got bored with trying to figure out which shape went where so a few minutes after he got it, I caught him and Dave playing with it. They had taken the lid off and were trying to throw the blocks into the container - Parker was having the time of his life. He is definitely his father's son. Here are a couple of pictures we took of him yesterday as he demolished his cupcake and opened some presents.

Here's a picture of Dave with three brothers, one nephew, and one friend at the BYU game on Saturday. BYU won UCLA 59 to 0. I thought it sounded like a boring game, but oh no, the boys loved it.
Last of all, I thought I'd throw this one in. Dave came home tonight - then had to hurry and leave to help someone move. This is what Parker did for a good while after Dave stepped out the door (imagine little whimpering noises to get the full effect). I finally convinced him to come play with me. Have I mentioned he's a daddy's boy?

Happy Birthday Parker. It looks like he really enjoyed that cupcake. It is hard to believe he is already 1. Seems like you just had him. Brian is probably jealous he didnt get to go to the BYU game. He would have loved it too even though it was a blowout.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PARKER!!! Wow, i knew his birthday had to be coming up but i couldn't remember when it was. Hard to believe it has already been a whole year. Hasn't it gone fast!!! He is so cute and getting so big - he is definitely starting to look more like a little boy than a baby. I love the pix of him at the door - that is totally my kids - they are all DADDY's kids - maybe it has something to do with me being home all the time - haha!! I love that they run to the door when he gets home and i am sure Parker will be doing the same before too long. Glad he had a good birthday - looks like he thoroughly enjoyed the cake. We miss you guys!!
Happy birthday to the little guy!!! Gosh, time flies. He sure is a sweet little guy. George does the same thing at the door when the kids go to school, complete with whinning and howling. I'm willing to bet he is louder than Parker!
The first birthday is always more exciting for you than your child! I remember Gideon's 1st birthday...we all (about 10 adults) sat around him and watched as he mutilated his slice of cake. We were all laughing and he couldn't figure out what all the excitement was about. hahaha...so fun. Sounds like you are having so much fun with your little boy! We'll have to get together again soon...it's already been a year since I saw you. Time flies!
