April Fool's (or close to it) and Other Happenings

No, I didn't play a joke on all of you, we really are expecting a baby, but the due date is April 2nd - which is close to April Fool's Day! We're hoping we don't have the baby on April 1st - but we'll take what we can get!! I have been feeling well, perhaps a little more sick than I felt with Parker, but I felt great with Parker and this has not been bad at all. I'm actually past the feeling sick stage and feel great right now - just tired from chasing a one-year-old around! We are very excited and nervous to have two small children, but we feel very grateful and know that this is a blessing for our family. I'm always amazed at how Heavenly Father knows exactly what each of us need - not only in our families but in all situations. I know that He knows each of us and blesses us with the experiences that will help us to grow the most.

We're looking forward to the ultrasound in about two weeks. Dave and I would be so excited to have a girl so we would have one of each, but we would also love to have another boy that would be so close in age to Parker. We are just hoping for a healthy report and we will be thrilled with either gender . . . by the way, I can only speak for both of us because Dave already has one little boy. When we went in for Parker's ultrasound, it was a different story. Dave said to the technician, "See if you can make it a boy."

There you go - our exciting news. We will keep you posted and let you all know how things are going. I've also included some recent pictures we have taken. These are pictures of Parker chowing down on his newly discovered favorite food: tomatoes, yep you read that correctly, tomatoes. We had a pretty decent amount of tomatoes from our garden this year. One day I was washing them for dinner and Parker started going crazy and pointing at them. I said, "okay, but you're not going to like them." Kids don't like tomatoes, right? Wrong! This kid gobbled up the entire thing and begged for more. So he's been getting tomatoes for his snacks lately. I had to take some pictures, because I'm not naive enough to believe this will last (I'm hoping, but not holding my breath). So in about five years, when he is picking the tomatoes out of his dinner, I will pull out these pictures and try to convince him of his love for this healthy food!






Here are some cute pictures of my nephews and nieces who came over the other night. They carved their own pumpkin and it was so much fun! We're so glad that Jenny and Jordan live close now - and that they let us borrow their kids! We love spending time with them.




This is their youngest, Levi. He is the most mellow, sweet, easy-going baby I have ever seen! Throw in the fact that he is adorable, and you have the perfect little baby.
