A few days before Christmas, Dave and I watched Jenny and Jordan's kids so they could finish up their shopping. Here is a cute picture of Parker and his cousin Alyssa holding hands while they watched Polar Express.
On Christmas Eve, the adult boys and all the kids went sledding. Here is Grandpa Snedaker pulling Parker on a sled. I was told everyone had so much fun and they found the perfect hill.
The Snedakers have a tradition of holding a pizza making contest each year. This year we had it on Christmas Eve and it was a blast, as usual. We each made our pizzas and then the judges ranked them on a scale from 1-10. The score for each pizza was added up and whoever had the most points won! Dave's parents and nephew Logan were the judges this year.
The contest was close, but Dave and I came out on top for the first time ever! We now have posession of the coveted pizza plaque that gets passed to the winner each year. Dave and I are grateful that everyone humored us by letting us enter two pizzas this year - it was our only hope of winning. We haven't performed very well in the past!
On Christmas Eve, the kids all opened a gift and the boys got matching Bronco's hats! Dave wore his hat for about three days straight - he loves it. Thanks Jordan!
On Christmas we headed back to Jordan and Jenny's and we barely made it through the snow to their house. Dave had fun with his brothers using the snow blower on the driveway.
About twenty minutes before Christmas dinner was finished, the power went out for three hours due to the weather! We ate what we could of the wonderful meal (thanks Jenny) and then covered up and sat around talking. It's amazing how cold it can get without a heater for a few hours. We are so grateful for modern convienences!
As the kids played their video games, Parker loved pretending that he was also playing. He would jump around and point his controls at the TV screen just like the older kids. It was funny to watch.
We had another fun night a couple of nights later as we gathered at our house to play Monopoly.
Overall, it was such a special Christmas. More than the gifts, we enjoyed spending time with family. We feel very blessed and are grateful for all the things that matter the most!

Oh, Candace, you look beautiful! Um, I thought you were pregnant???
Hello, hot mama!
Congrats on the pizza--what a fun tradition.
Hey, I just saw your link off of Quincy & Jesse Walker's blog. They were in our last ward so we got to be friends. Anyway, last time we saw you, was when you were prego with Parker. So, it was kind of fun to see a picture of him. We are doing good. We live in Mesa now. Well, Happy New Year! Oh, and is the extra plus sign in your title saying that you are expecting your second?

Candace - I was wondering if I could get your address? I'm having a Scentsy openhouse and wanted to invite you. I also wanted to send Kathryn an invite but wasn't sure how to get ahold of her? I lost the paper that had everyone's info on it that night we got together for dinner last summer at Hal & Debbie's. You can e-mail me at snedfam@gmail.com
Thanks!
