TWO

Last month Parker turned two!  We had a birthday dinner with some cousins, aunts, and uncles.  Dave was SO excited to give Parker a BYU football uniform.  Now Parker has a real helmet and not the sorry excuse for a helmet I attempted to make him a few months ago.

Parker was so excited to go in the backyard to play football and try out his new gear.  This boy LOVES to tackle.

Cousin Alyssa opted to stay inside and lick yogurt up from the tablecloth while the other kids were outside playing . . . this girl NEVER ceases to make my laugh!

We gave Parker another gift of some toy horses and the movie Spirit - gifts that he has absolutely loved.  He loves to play with the "mommy horse, daddy horse, and baby horse."  He often sleeps with them and is very upset if one is missing.  He also takes very good care of them and multiple times I have seen him put them in "time out" when they act up.  I'm glad that he is so intent on teaching them appropriate behavior.  And no, our two year old is not still sitting in his Bumbo chair.  Kambri uses it now, but Parker insisted on sitting in it to open his gifts.  Perhaps he is in denial of reaching the age of two and wanted to re-live some of his younger days.

Parker blew out his candles with some help from Dad.  It was such a fun day!

We sure do love our energetic boy that is so full of life.  About 15 minutes ago while I was working on this post, he woke up from his nap.  I went into his room to get him and the first thing he said to me was, "Mommy, I happy."   I think that pretty much sums up the little guy.  He is just happy to be alive and in the process, he has brought so much happiness into ours!
