Trip to Arizona

In February, we took a trip to Arizona to visit Dave's parents.  They have lived there for a couple of years now and we finally made the long drive to visit them.  It was so fun to see their beautiful home and to spend time with them - not to mention the perfect weather!   Below are a some pictures from our trip:

We got Parker some sunglasses for the trip.  He had a hard time keeping them on, but luckily figured out that if he wore them upside-down they would stay on.

Dave took an afternoon horse ride with his dad just about every day that we were there.

Dave's dad was so good to play with Parker almost constantly!  I don't know how many times they raced cars across the floor.
Dave's mom loves her grandkids and had so much fun playing Kambri and feeding her.

One day we went to a camel farm that had lots of animals including camels.  The kids had a great time and Parker loved feeding the animals.

After the kids went to bed each night we played games, watched the Olympics and Dave's parents tried to get us up to speed on 24 (the T.V. show).

We enjoyed eating dinner outside on the patio in the PERFECT weather (it was hard to come back home to the snow).

Dave's parents found the perfect thing for Parker when they pulled out the raquet ball equipment.  Parker hit the ball over and over again on the patio.

This was interesting . . . Parker found a card game that Dave's mom had.  Some of the cards had pictures of kids on them . . . and Parker labeled them as his "friends."  During the whole week he carried his "friends" around with him and whenever they were not with him, he kept asking, "Where are my friends?"

Dave's dad took us golfing and Dave's mom was so, so nice to stay home and watch the kids.  Both Dave and I enjoy playing golf and it was fun to enjoy the sunshine!

Riding the four-wheeler with Grandpa.

Riding the horse!

It was a perfect "get away from the cold weather trip" and Dave's parents made us feel so welcome and spoiled all of us like crazy.
