The kids did some branching out this week and they tried some new things. Lyddi jumped on the green smoothie bandwagon and she can't get enough. No matter how much I feed her, she's always mad when she runs out of smoothie....and she likes to wear it on her face:
Parker made his daddy very proud this week when he gave ballet a try for the first time.....if you know Parker's daddy, you know just how proud he would be. We were at Kambri's dance lesson and Parker must have had a longing look on his face as he stood in the doorway because the teacher invited him in to participate.....he was very happy to give it a go. I snapped a picture to capture the moment for Dave.... he must have been REALLY excited when I showed him, because he didn't say much. Some things are just too exciting to talk about, I guess.
We took the kids bowling with their cousins on Monday. Dave had the day off for Civil Rights Day. Now bowling isn't a new thing for the kids....we take them fairly often....they love it. However, if you will direct your attention to Kambri's outfit, that is her new thing.....choosing her own clothes. She is very set on choosing her own apparel these days. It's fun to see her getting so excited about being independent....for the most part.
Parker worked very hard on not getting upset when he didn't bowl perfectly....he did a great job, and that's a new thing for him. He's been working really hard on his sportsmanship and I am very proud of him.
Another new thing this week for Kam.....she started wearing deodorant. Too young, you say? You try telling little Miss Newly Independent.
A new thing for Parker is his first season of basketball! He's actually been playing for about a month, but this is my first picture on the blog...he's loving it and loving that his dad is the coach. We're hoping he chooses to continue on in basketball, rather than ballet....time will tell, I guess ;).
And.....bath time is nothing new for Lyddi, but I just thought the picture was cute. She makes me laugh every time she gets in the tub. She gets this look on her face like "I have a job to do here, and it's to kick and splash like there is no tomorrow." She takes it very seriously. And it's very cute.

Oh I am sure Dave is really proud of his male ballerina...hahaha!! Chris would be acting the very same way. Funny though that its cook to have a daughter who does taekwondo and is a NINJA! hahaha!
Love that Dave is coaching basketball. Chris has loved coaching his kids. It is sometimes a tough balance of being a coach and Dad, but fun nevertheless. This fall, he will probably be coaching 3 soccer teams. Not sure how he's going to manage that, but Morgan is ready to start too!
