Kid Update

I haven't posted pictures of the kids for a while...so here they are:

We'll start with our cute little Lyddi.  We like to call her our extremely caucasian child...she is our most fair child...and the other two are pretty darn white.  Like her siblings, she got her Daddy's bright blue eyes.  We think she's beyond cute.  Her most recent accomplishments are that she is finally sitting up for up to 10 seconds, rolling over, and babbling like crazy.  She is seven months old now...but my babies always do things slower than most.  At her six month appointment the dr. said that with most experienced moms, she doesn't make them come in at the 9 month appt....but because Lyddi is a little behind, she wanted me to come in at 9 months.  I like to tell myself my babies are slower because they are so intellectually smart that they learn to do their physical skills more slowly...I know...I'm just trying to make myself feel better and to keep myself from worrying.  But we think Lyddi is perfect and can't get enough of her big smiles and cute squeals.  She is constantly laughing at Parker and she appears to love the dog....I've always thought she would be more like her dad than me :).  Lyddi rivals Parker with being a good eater...her favorite foods are peas and green beans...she'll eat anything but gets more excited about the green stuff...I couldn't be more proud:).  And she loves to be held by her mom... I don't really mind.

Parker is happy as ever.  He just started his second year of preschool and couldn't love it more.  He is way into BYU...and practices writing those three letters over and over and over...  He loves being the big brother and is always helping me.  He is also a little obsessed with soccer these days...his team is doing really well and so is he.  Dave keeps worrying that he'll fall so in love with soccer that he won't want to play basketball when he gets old enough...guess we'll see:).  His grandma has a tutoring business and tells the grandkids that she will start tutoring them when they turn five.  After patiently waiting, Parker finally turned five a couple of weeks ago...and is proudly getting tutored.  We love that his grandma makes that time to spend with the her grandkids.  Right now Parker is also into coloring, playing board games, and hula-hooping...his Idaho cousins got him hooked on the hula-hoop when we saw them for the 4th of July.

And this little sweetheart just started her first year of preschool...she's in the mommy neighborhood one for her first year.  So far, she loves it.  She is also loving princesses and Doc McStuffins these days...she is always asking me to print of Doc McStuffins coloring pages from the Internet.  Five months after the fact, she is finally accepting that she is three years old.  She had a hard time letting go of two...she was always telling people that she was still two after her third birthday.  She is also in Dance and it has been her favorite thing ever.  For their dance, they get to be "sparkly princess butterflies."  She is so excited.  The other day I told her that her dad and I wished she would never grow up...she said, "Oh mom, I have to grow up...I need to get tutored."  I hope Dave's mom knows all the excitement that she has created!

And that's the quick update...I'm very grateful for my cute family.

Your kids are very cute. It sounds like things have been going good at your house and everyone is having fun. My kids are slow doing things also but I am sure you are right about your kids being smart.
Glad things are going so well.
