Fun facts about Lyddi:
She JUST learned to crawl (yes, she is 15 months old). We have her involved in an early intervention program with the school district, so she gets to meet with a physical therapist twice a month. She is doing great though and is now into EVERYTHING.......but we're just happy she hit this milestone.
She still loves dogs, especially ours.......she is so her daddy's girl. Every morning when I get her out of her crib, we walk into the next room and get Champ out of his kennel and take him outside. And every morning, she gets so excited by screaming, kicking, and waving her arms.
She can say: doggy, daddy, MOM (in a really loud do not ignore me voice), I want that (said I na dat), uh-oh, hi (and she says it to everyone she sees), bye, and baaa (for bath)
She loves to sing and dance and is frequently humming.
She is our most, shall we say, determined and spunky child. There is never any question what she wants because she lets you know the minute it crosses her mind. She does not like to be ignored, ever. She is also happy, sweet (she loves to snuggle), and loves her siblings. They love her too. Parker especially is always talking to her and trying to make her smile.
She loves her daddy. When she sees him sitting up front at church she yells "Daddy! DAD! DADDY!" over and over and over. The same thing happens when he gets home from work......she yells at him until he picks her up. She loves getting attention from him.
She LOVES baths. If I ask her if she wants a bath, she goes crazy clapping her hands and kicking.
She is a fabulous sleeper. And this tired mommy is very grateful.
Her very favorite food is mashed up avocados. She would eat five at a time if I let her.
I can't keep her out of the dog food/water. She has been crawling about a week and I bet she has gotten into it five times, and that's not counting the many times I grabbed her just in time. We try to keep it behind a closed door, but I or the kids are constantly going in there and forgetting to shut the door. And when she sees an opening, she takes it!
No one ever tells me she looks like me.......probably because she doesn't. She is a mini-Dave.
We couldn't love our sweet Lydia more. She is such a special, spunky part of our family.
